Blessings

Happy Friday!

I am super psyched that the last day of the work week is FINALLY here! It was definitely a long week!

Here is a card I made to have on hand for Thanksgiving!

I apparently forgot how to take pictures so please excuse these!

The pumpkin is from the Nursery Rhymes  Cartridge and I actually found it searching for a pumpkin on my Gypsy.  I chalked the edges in brown with my Creative Memories Chalking Ink, the colored the pumpkin's stem with a brown pen and used Peridot Martha Stewart glitter for the vine.

The inside I used a reverse of the colors on the front to leave a space to write.

An open picture of the card ... I used the same paper on the back to tie it all together, and again my "Priceless" stamp.  The patterned paper is from the Cloud 9 Mat stack that I used for my Christmas card earlier this week.

So there you have it! What have you created this week?

Hallowen LO

Good Morning Everyone!

I hope this week is flying by for all of you (and me too!!) It always seems that when you've got time off coming up that it takes FOREVER to get there! My husband and I are looking forward to a 3 day weekend although for different reasons! I'm excited to hopefully do the last of the scraping on the front porch so that it can be painted before the snow starts to fall! He on the other hand is happy because it is a friend of ours' Birthday and we have a tradition of going to a place call the Hanger for the best wings around.  Either way I hope you all get to do what you want this weekend!

Anywho! Here is a new Halloween LO that I put together in my "trying to stay ahead" mission!

Here it is! (Sorry for the horrible pictures, but if I didn't take them when I did, you might not have ever seen them!) I did a black background and then chose an accent paper in orange pumpkins from a DCWV stack that I had sitting around from last year!

"Halloween" is from the Designer's Calendar Cartridge and I think it looks super cute on the page!

The cute little spiders are from sticker packs that I scooped up at Walmart last Halloween for 1.50$ a package! The green web wasn't that big so I used green stickles all over the entire web and extended it where I needed it to be so that it "fit" better in the spot I chose to use it!

So there you have it! My new Halloween page! Hope you enjoy!

MPS Christmas Card Challenge

Hi Everyone! I hope that you all had a fabulous weekend!

Per usual, it was pretty hectic around here this weekend.  Friday night we got together with my step-dad's side of the family at a local pizza place that's a favorite.  Saturday I did some things around the house and then Jon and I went to a vow renewal for family friends of ours, and finally Sunday was a friend of mine's, son's 5th birthday party! WOO! I need a weekend to catch up from my weekend!

I didn't have much crafting time, but did manage to make an entry for the Challenge Robyn had over at My Pink Stamper to make a Christmas Card ... Here's my entry!

I chose to make a simple card using the Cricut Christmas Cheer cartridge for the Tree. The background paper is from a new Cloud 9 Mat Stack (which is larger then the normal size so that you don't have to cut down the picture at all if you don't want to!) I like it because it gives you a little extra paper to play with either on the inside of back of your card!

The "star" is a small wooden button that has brown floss tried in a knot on top.

On the back I used a "Priceless" stamp which I thought was cute and added a little finishing touch.  I hope to eventually find somewhere that makes custom stamps so that I can get one made with my own name =)

The sentiment is from a random Christmas stamp set that I realized I had around, although I'm in need for some new ones for sure!

So there you have it! My simple entry to the My Pink Stamper card challenge!

I hope you all get the time to be crafty today!

Happy October!

Good Morning! We made it to the weekend  ... WOO HOO! Happy October! I can't believe how quickly this year has flown ... so with that said here are a couple of Halloween cards that I've made to add to my stash!

They're pretty simple, but I love the way that orange and purple look with black in anything Halloween related!

Both of the little spiders have glitter on the tips their legs!

The paper is DCWV from a stack that I had gotten online from Jo-Ann Fabrics a while back.  The Stamp is a dollar bin find from either Michaels or AC Moore.

Quick and easy enough for anyone to do!

Hope you have a fabulous day!

A couple more owls ...

Good Morning!  It's almost the weekend! Can you tell that I'm happy?! We've got a busy one planed with lots of time with friends and family, so why not share a page I just made for some pictures of my neice AJ that I've FINALLY sent to be printed!

I used the Cricut Lite Hoot 'n' Holler Cartridge again ... Super Cute! Over the summer I took some great pictures of her in my parents hot tub making silly faces ... Here's one of them!

So I thought the saying "You're a hoot!" would be perfect for her silly little self!

I few metallic rhinestone like accents give the frames for the pictures a little something extra!

And of course, the owls!

I hope you like my newest page, as I'm REALLY trying to get back in my crafting groove!

A Trip to the Beach

Hey Everyone! With the temperatures around here lately you'd never know it's almost October! It's only a matter of time before all the leaves begin to change, so let's take one last trip to the beach!

A friend of mine who doesn't scrap book and always gives the look at different events (which means can you scrap book this for me!) went to the beach with her son over the summer and here's a page I made to go into the book I've started for her!

The "Sand" paper was from a DCWV Photo stack from forever ago! The boarder punch was an EK Success find at Michael's that I picked up and scanned for "ha ha's" that ended up being on clearance for 3.99! BONUS!

Finally the waves were made on my Gypsy from the Life's a Beach cartridge and then filled with a pattern from one of my Imagine cartridges and printed out in 2 different sizes, then layered with thin pop dots to give it some dimension.

I'm really excited about how this page came out ... I like the fact that it's simple, just enough to be fun but not take away from the pictures!

Hope you enjoyed!

You're a hoot!

Wow! 2 posts in 1 day! I think I may finally be back ... although I'd better not hold my breath!
Here is a card made from the Hoot 'n' Holler Cricut Lite Cartridge that I got not too long ago!

I LOVE owls! Ok, let me re-phrase that, I'm not obsessed with them by any means, but I think they make cute cards! As you can see I took out the Cuttlebug and ran the brown background through the basic dots folder.

The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper and is super cute!

I also went crazy with pop dots because I thought that it would look better if the card had a little dimension ... usually a card like this will still mail with normal postage because the dots will squish down when put through the sorter ... but now that I've said this, I'm sure I've jinxed myself!

So there you have it, super fast and lots of fun!

I hope you all get a chance to do something that you haven't had much time for today whatever that may be!

Happy Crafting!

Technical Help!

Ok, I need some technical help!

Although I haven't been blogging, I have been following all the fabulous ladies and gents that I always have ... but I'm having a problem!

Whenever I go to post a comment it says that I don't have access to do so and then lists my e-mail in ( ).   It tells me to sign out and sign back in, so I do and still no luck!

Any ideas??!!

Happy Sunday, and a couple new cartridges!

I hope everyone is enjoying a relaxing Sunday, I know I am!  Today is the first day in I don't know how long that I've actually been able to craft up in my room and now I'm even getting some blogging in!

Here are 2 cartridges that my friend Sue-Ann scooped up at Walmart over the summer for $20 each

I was obviously very excited about my Cricut Rewards ... although I don't know why because I still have never actually "bought" anything with them!

I love that the Lite Cartridges come with this card that shows the different layers that you need to cut in a quicker, less messy way than the regular books do! I can't wait to work on a project using these!

So with that said, make sure that you're checking out your local Walmarts, because they're always randomly putting cartridges on clearance! And another tip ... take the cartridge to the scanner because sometimes they're marked down more then the price tag says!

Hope everyone has a fabulous Sunday!

A different kind of crafting!

Hey everyone!

I hope you've enjoyed your weekend, and if you're also located in Massachusetts, I hope you got some fabulous tax-free deals ... I know we sure did! Here is a little bit of what we ended up with!

We're re-modeling our bathroom in November ... and yes we're doing it ourselves ... my husband is crafty 6 ways from Sunday and we knew that if we took time off from work and did the project ourselves, we could do some splurging!

Here's the tub ...

It's a fabulous Jacuzzi tub with a 19 inch soak!!!!! Can you tell I'm excited?! Jon and I have been together for just shy of 7 years and since we've been together we've never lived in a place with a nice bathroom ... so you can imagine that after 7 years of not being able to take a bath at home ... I'm ready!

Next is the vanity ...

We chose a darker color because the tub and the toilet are going to be white ... and we went with one that is 48 inches long ... did I mention how excited I am?!

We decided to go with this granite beige vanity top ...

Of course it's 49 inches long but the Home Depot site just shows this size!

We also scooped up our new toilet and and in-line hot water heater which aren't as fun to look at so I'll skip that one!

The final purchase was new fencing sections to replace the fence we have that goes up the left side of our driveway ... which at this point in time I also can't locate on the Home Depot site ... it's on order and we'll be picking it up in 2 to 3 weeks, so I'll show you then!

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend and enjoyed a little of my crafting in a different sense! Can't wait to see the finished project!

Stay tuned tomorrow as I show a project from my new Hoot and Holler Cricut Lite Cartridge that Sue-Ann scooped up for me this weekend!

Happy Crafting!

I really am back!

Ok! No joke this time! I'm finally back!

I apologize for the lack of creativity from me, but it's been a crazy month and a half! I got ANOTHER virus on my computer and with my brother-in-laws recent passing and work being CRAZY for a lack of a better way to put it we just kept putting it off to bring the tower to the repair shop, BUT my husband noticed that, that meant that I wasn't blogging and he thought that was a big deal! So as sweet as he is, he took it in on Wednesday night and they had it ready for us yesterday!

I have tons of stuff to share with you all, as I have been crafting, just not blogging! I was in a horrible craft fair =( which I'm not taking to heart, as I truely believe it was bad advertising and bad weather so I'm not going to let that stop me!

I've done a couple projects with my new Imagine, but the death in the family has really tied things up this past month, but I'd like to think we're back on track!

Today my hunnie and I are stipping our front porch so that we can paint it and make it look fresh and new ... I'll be excited because I may have missed having my red, white and blue bunting up for Memorial and the 4th, but it WILL BE UP for Labor Day! =)

I've also started WW again as I realized that my eating habits just were not the best lately! I'm psyched that I hit my 5% weight loss goal (which is loosing 5% of the weight you were when you started) today and I'm very excited to keep that going!

After we finish up outside today I'll head up to the craft room and take pictures of some of the projects that I've been working on so that I can share them with you over the next couple weeks, as well as some new ones that I've had stewing in my head!

I hope all of you are having a wonderful summer and I can't wait to catch up on all of your blogs too!

Happy Crafting!

I'm back! .... I think?!

Sorry for the lack of posting these past few weeks!

We had our BBQ for the Troops last weekend and my time has been pretty consumed between that and things at work being CRAZY! But I think with this 3 day weekend coming up I'm back under control!

My Imagine came in the mail on Tuesday and I had a few minutes to update it and print/cut a couple images out that I was playing around with, so hopefully I'll have a project with those first cuts for you this weekend!

I still need to update my Gypsy to my Imagine and then upload the cartridges to it as well ... That should be intersting! Does anyone have any advice or tips on how to do this painlessly? The gypsy can be a little fickle I've noticed!

So, I look forward to getting back into my BLOG GROOVE this weekend! Although I've not been able to craft, I have had a little time to keep up with the blogs I follow and have seen some amazing projects! Can't wait to create myself!

Happy Crafting!

I FINALLY Caved!

Hey Everyone! Happy Weekend!

I really need to get my blogging in check as I posed 8 projects on Sunday and nothing since then! I'm happy to say I have a little crafting time today so we'll see if I can get some things done!

But let's get to the real business!

I CAVED!!

I FINALLY ordered my Cricut Imagine!!

I'm SO Excited for it to come! My husband really is the best as he told me that if I didn't order it now he'd order it at the highest price he could find it ha ha so I finally did it!

I snagged mine up at CricutMachine.com and got it on sale for the 299.95 special, plus no shipping! So now those cartridges I've been buying on Ebay for the machine I didn't have will now have a friend! WooHoo!

I hope everyone has a fabulous day, and hopefully I'll get some projects up today!

Happy Crafting!

NSD - Challenge #12 from My Pink Stamper

LAST ONE!

So I wish I had time to complete all of the challenges, but I'm happy with what I got to accomplish ... Here is my entry for Challenge #12 which was something with a kid theme!

How cute are these dinosaurs!

I thought that this would be a great idea to have on hand to send to my little cousins! I used the Create a Critter Cartridge for the dinosaur and planned out the cuts on my Gypsy!

Again I used the My Pink Stamper Fabulous Phrases set for the sentiment, as well as some faux stitching around the top of the card.

I then used pop dots to make the dinosaur POP off the page! The patterened paper is from a DCWV boys stack although the name escapes me at the moment!

I hope you like!

That's it for my entires in the National Scrapbook Day challenges! I hope this week goes by quick because I'm already ready for the weekend!

Happy Crafting!

NSC - Challenge #11 from My Pink Stamper

Almost there! Here is my submission for Challenge #11 from Robyn over at My Pink Stamper which was to use pink, green and black!

I kept this card very basic ... I thought about using the Cuttlebug for the pink strip but I decided to keep it plain and stamp my sentiment on it.  The sentiment is from the Fabulous Phrases set from My Pink Stamper which I LOVE! Have I said that before?!

I used 2 fabric flowers and fastened them together with a clear gem silver brad and fastened that to the card with a glue dot ... I find those work best for flowers!

Like I said ... simple! But I think that it allows for the sentiment to be the main focal point!

Happy Crafting!

~Meg

NSD - Challenge #10 from My Pink Stamper

Ok so I know I jumped a bit ... but I didn't have time to do all the challenges!

Here is my submission for Challenge number 10 from My Pink Stamper which was to be a card or layout with a pet in it!

I made this for my mother-in-law for Mother's Day ... she's got a little of everything so I thought making her somthing was a safe bet!

I used a weaved pattern with the ribbon to give the corner some dimension and pattern.

I welded the My together from the Gypsy Font cart on my gypsy. I also matted the photos in white, then black and used an orange brad for detail.

The grand puppies was welded together on my gypsy from the Cuttin' Up Cartridge.

Finally I took a trip to Walmart and got this frame that was meant for a 4 x 6 photo, but covered the whole back with the LO. I only paid 6.88 for the frame which I thought was a great deal!

Finally all framed and done!

Hope you enjoy!

Happy Crafting!

~Meg

NSD - Challenge #5 from My Pink Stamper

We're moving along! Here is Challenge number 5 from My Pink Stamper was to do anything but! Something 3D that wasn't a LO or a card!

I've had this idea for a while, and finally did it and am PSYCHED with how it came out! Hope you are too!

I made a Patriotic tree! I found this tree on sale at Michael's about a year and half ago after Christmas! I think I paid around 2$ for this size ... did you know I LOVE bargains?!

I used the Stand and Salute Cartridge to cut out ribbons ... which I faux stitched to give them some detail, but not too much to take away from the meaning of the tree.

I also used the stars from this cart ... again faux stitched.

Finally I topped it with USA ribbon! I thought it was a cute touch to the top ... I'm thinking of adding a Large start to the top as well!

So there you have it ... Not a LO or a card! I'm thinking I may also make other cut outs to go with other holidays to make additional trees, or use to change out in the winter!

Happy Crafting!

NSD - My Pink Stamper Challenge #4

Challenge #4 from My Pink Stamper was anything for Mother's Day!

Here are some of the cards I made yesterday!

I used the Pagoda Cartridge that I borrowed from Sue-Ann and found these great looking simple flowers!

I used a Cuttlebug embossing boarder folder to get the zig zag effect!

I used a mauve chalking ink around the beige flowers to give them just a slight touch of pink!

And small pop dots to give the card just a little bit of dimension, but not take away from the simple design.

Hope you like them!

Happy Crafting!

~Meg

NSD - My Pink Stamper Challenge #3

Here we go again!

Challenge #3 from My Pink Stamper was anything Breast Cancer themed ...

Here's my submission!

I used the Cricut Pink Journey's Cartridge which my mom gave me ... LOVE IT!

I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder on the bottom and small pop dots to pop the ribbon up just a bit!

Happy Crafting!
