Hallowen LO

Good Morning Everyone!

I hope this week is flying by for all of you (and me too!!) It always seems that when you've got time off coming up that it takes FOREVER to get there! My husband and I are looking forward to a 3 day weekend although for different reasons! I'm excited to hopefully do the last of the scraping on the front porch so that it can be painted before the snow starts to fall! He on the other hand is happy because it is a friend of ours' Birthday and we have a tradition of going to a place call the Hanger for the best wings around.  Either way I hope you all get to do what you want this weekend!

Anywho! Here is a new Halloween LO that I put together in my "trying to stay ahead" mission!

Here it is! (Sorry for the horrible pictures, but if I didn't take them when I did, you might not have ever seen them!) I did a black background and then chose an accent paper in orange pumpkins from a DCWV stack that I had sitting around from last year!

"Halloween" is from the Designer's Calendar Cartridge and I think it looks super cute on the page!

The cute little spiders are from sticker packs that I scooped up at Walmart last Halloween for 1.50$ a package! The green web wasn't that big so I used green stickles all over the entire web and extended it where I needed it to be so that it "fit" better in the spot I chose to use it!

So there you have it! My new Halloween page! Hope you enjoy!

NSD - My Pink Stamper Challenge #2

Challenge number 2 from My Pink Stamper was to use Kraft Cardstock ...

Here's my Entry!

I decided to do Father's Day cards and try to get ahead for once ...

I made this circle, used chalking ink and a gold #1 (done with perfect pearls)

The Dad's Day came from the Designer's Calander Cart.

Finally I adhered the circle with a pop dot over the twine to give the card dimension.

Hope you Enjoy!

A Little Behind!

Hi! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekends thus far!

As for me, I spent a lot of time cleaning, doing laundry and helping a friend plan a Disney trip for her son's 5th Birthday! THEN I finally got up to the craft room!

This is a LO that I made last weekend but with all the festivities and LONG week at work, I hadn't been able to post it yet, so here it is!

For just about ever I was the "queen" of 1 page random-ness ... I know a little silly but what I mean is I was never into the 2 page LO thing ... not because I didn't like it but I had a hard time with it! So I'm working on being able to create something more visually pleasing as opposed to 2 random pages next to each other.  This is what I made for St. Patty's Day!

I haven't pre-made a lot of pages, but I found that it allows me to be more creative.  I think it's because I'm doing what I think looks good and not getting caught up matching colors with the pictures ... yes I try to do that!

The other side of the page has a matching lower strip that I think makes the pages go well together when next to each other.

The shamrocks are the same size, some run through the Cuttlebug and then rubbed with a sanding block.  The others have a sticker from Hobby Lobby (by the Paper Studio) stuck in the middle and then I "stitched" what you could see of the green paper.  I put pop-dots behind these to give the pages more dimension.

Finally the title! Very simple and from the Designer's Calander cartridge! I used a gold gelly roll pen to stitch around the words to make them stand out from the page as the backround that I chose is very dark! The small shamrocks that are all over the pages were sprayed with Glimmer mist and fastened to the page with mini gold brads.

I had so much fun making this LO and I hope you enjoy! Keep stopping by to see the other projects that I've been working on ... FINALLY!

Happy Crafting!

The Inspiration Station's hourly challenges!

So far this am there have been 2 challenges from the Inspiration Station, so as I'm sure you can guess that Sue-Ann and I have been crafting away this gross icy morning! The first challenge was to create something having to do with spring or flowers, so thinking that I only had until 10am (as this was the 9am challenge) I high tailed it and created this cute little card using the new April Showers Cricut cartridge!

I then learned that there was no time limit ha ha! The 10am challenge was to making something with glitter or glitz! So seeing good ole' dad is a rock star, I decided what better time to start the book I want to make with pictures of his band then now?! The music notes came from the Designer's Calander cricut cartridge using the events key on shift.

The 11am challenge was just posted and now it's on the theme of "Calgone take me away", so a vacation project or page ... I'm thinking my trip to Mexico last year will be perfect! Be back in a bit!
