Happy Friday!

I am super psyched that the last day of the work week is FINALLY here! It was definitely a long week!

Here is a card I made to have on hand for Thanksgiving!

I apparently forgot how to take pictures so please excuse these! 

The pumpkin is from the Nursery Rhymes  Cartridge and I actually found it searching for a pumpkin on my Gypsy.  I chalked the edges in brown with my Creative Memories Chalking Ink, the colored the pumpkin's stem with a brown pen and used Peridot Martha Stewart glitter for the vine.

 The inside I used a reverse of the colors on the front to leave a space to write.

An open picture of the card ... I used the same paper on the back to tie it all together, and again my "Priceless" stamp.  The patterned paper is from the Cloud 9 Mat stack that I used for my Christmas card earlier this week.

An Inked Thanks ...

Happy Weekend Everyone!

Does anyone else feel like it takes forever for the weekend to get here? Because I sure do!

Today I'm spending time at Survivors' Day with Sue-Ann and my mom as Sue-Ann does TONS of work for the Rays of Hope and mom and I are helping out at today's event! So in my absence I figured I'd post a little project for you!

I've been playing a little more with my alcohol inks lately and looking up new techniques to use them! I recently ordered packages of glossy paper to use with them but of course got impatient and tried out a project anyways! It would have looked different had it been done on the glossy paper as suggested, but I'm still excited about the outcome!

I used 3 different colors of Alcohol Ink and the blending solution.  Alcohol Ink dries in seconds, literally which is why the glossy paper helps in the crafting process, but did I mention I'm impatient and couldn't wait?! So I tried it with regular cardstock and it didn't come out half bad! The Thanks stamp is from Stampin' Up and was actually in a free set that I got during their March    
Sale-a-bration!

I didn't want to take away from the inked area and stamp so I just used a simple black ribbon to give the card a more finished look.

This stamp is from a Martha Stewart set that I bought a while back super cheap and FINALLY used for the first time! (I love when I use things for the first time, makes me feel better about the money I spent! ha ha) I used Stayz On for the stamp because it's VERY black and I knew it would be able to show up over colors in the back.

So there you have it, a quick and easy card! One piece of advice, this ink stains! So make sure you protect your crafting surface! I used an old Cricut mat that didn't have enough stick for the machine anymore but will still hold the paper for something like this! A great way to get a little more out of your mats, and your money! Stay tuned for more Alcohol Ink projects once I get my package in from Joann Fabrics.com!

Happy Monday ... or is it?

Good Morning Everyone!

Well the weekend is over and of course for the next 4-5 days my crafting time is cut drastically (egh the drawbacks of being busy!) But of course I check my e-mail every day, probably 10 times a day! (Work has me trained!) But anyways, this is what popped in this am!

Michaels Daily Deal today is the Martha Stewart Crafts Scoring Board, reg priced 19.99 on sale for 9.99! I'm hoping that I can scoot out of work to be able to pick one up for myself!  Here are some other great coupons that came to my e-mail!

A couple more cards and some storage!

Hey Everyone! So as promised I have a couple more cards made up for you! So let's get right to it!



Again all of these animals were pre-designed on my Gypsy earlier this week, and I cut them out and designed cards for them today! Hope you enjoy!

Layered fish! These were easy and quick to make.

The little "bubbles" are dew drops, and the stamp is from My Pink Stamper.  The card is the basic A2 size and is a pre-made from a DCWV box set. (Check your local craft stores, as they usually go on clearance at the end of every season and I snagged this box of 40 up for only 2.99!)

Next are the owls! There's a cute story behind these guys ... when I was pre-cutting paper for the mats I was having a hard time thinking of what color owls really are, so my husband called a friend of ours son and asked him as he is quite smart.  He gave us the answer and I was on my way.  I crafted with the ladies yesterday and the first thing that my husband asked when I got home is "Where's the owl" so I felt that I had to make them today!

I used the cuttlebug for the embossing of the card and then layered the patterned paper on top to break up the card.  A little bit of Martha Stewart glitter to accent the leaves and that was it! Simple and quick, yet not pink so you could give it to a guy! The stamp is from My Pink Stamper and there is also one that reads You're a hoot! that could be used instead of the one I chose.

How exciting! Some more of my storage is done! My husband built this and my mom painted most of it.  I touched up the rest this am, and now that it's dry I can start to organize!

I think I need more ribbon space already! I love how I can easily get to all of my things like glitter and some of my embellishments.  I have to think of where to put all my other boxes as they don't fit here, but at least some of my basics are within arms reach while I'm crafting!
