You're a hoot!

Wow! 2 posts in 1 day! I think I may finally be back ... although I'd better not hold my breath!

Here is a card made from the Hoot 'n' Holler Cricut Lite Cartridge that I got not too long ago!

I LOVE owls! Ok, let me re-phrase that, I'm not obsessed with them by any means, but I think they make cute cards! As you can see I took out the Cuttlebug and ran the brown background through the basic dots folder.

The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper and is super cute!

I also went crazy with pop dots because I thought that it would look better if the card had a little dimension ... usually a card like this will still mail with normal postage because the dots will squish down when put through the sorter ... but now that I've said this, I'm sure I've jinxed myself!

So there you have it, super fast and lots of fun!

I hope you all get a chance to do something that you haven't had much time for today whatever that may be!

NSD - My Pink Stamper Challenge #4

Challenge #4 from My Pink Stamper was anything for Mother's Day!

Here are some of the cards I made yesterday!

I used the Pagoda Cartridge that I borrowed from Sue-Ann and found these great looking simple flowers!

I used a Cuttlebug embossing boarder folder to get the zig zag effect!

I used a mauve chalking ink around the beige flowers to give them just a slight touch of pink!

And small pop dots to give the card just a little bit of dimension, but not take away from the simple design.

I used the Cricut Pink Journey's Cartridge which my mom gave me ... LOVE IT!

I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder on the bottom and small pop dots to pop the ribbon up just a bit!

QUICK and I mean QUICK treat bags!

Happy Easter Everyone!

I don't know about you, but I was hoping for things to slow down this weekend but NOPE! So my hopes to make super cute treat bags had to be tossed to the side and the realistic stepped into play and I decided quick and easy is better then not making them at all! Afterall, I had all the treats!

So here they are! QUICK and easy! I didn't even use the cricut on these, just the  Cuttlebug for the tops of the pouches!

When I say quick, I mean I ended up having about 20 minutes to get these little guys done before I had to run out with some in tow!

I couldn't even find my stapler to close these little guys, so I used my fascinator (yikes I don't know if I spelled that right!) which ended up being a cute touch!

I used my scraps for the tops of the bags!

So there you have it! Nothing special but the kids that have gotten them so far have LOVED them so I'm happy! I guess in this case it was the thought that counted!

Well aren't you Fabulous!

Good Morning!

I was picking up the scrap room (as I always seem to be!) and decided that today's project was going to be to use some scraps! So with that said, here's what I came up with!

This is a basic A2 sized card which due to some of the embellishments but not be machineable at the post office!  You might recognize this paper from a birthday card I did a little while back ... I told you I was going to use my scraps! The sentiment is from the Fabulous Phrases set from My Pink Stamper.

I used pop dots to make the "frame" and flower come up off the page to give the card a little something extra!

The bottom boarder is run through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss dots embossing folder and then I used one of my new Stampin' Up Ink pads in Not Quite Navy and rubbed it over the embossing!



I've been on a card kick lately, but I've also been working on a present for a friend of ours who has their first wedding anniversary coming up this month! I've been doing a scrapbook of her wedding! I'm so excited to be working on this and am even more excited to finish it to give to them!

Another simple thanks ...

Happy Weekend!

I never have enough thank you cards on hand, which to some may be an issue, I choose to look at the positive and the fact that I have so many wonderful people in my life!

Here is a simple and VERY QUICK card that I threw together to have on hand!

This is a basic A2 sized card in Navy blue, with a light blue overlay that was run through the Cuttlebug in a Sizzix Thank you embossing folder

I decided to keep it simple and use a ribbon across the middle that was very close to the color of the light blue overlay.

Finally I used a My Pink Stamper sentiment from Robyn's newer set Everyday Sentiments ... This set is great because they are larger and really fill the inside of the card!



So there you have it, quick and easy, especially if you have to make a bunch!

What a bunch ....

Another work week underway and I'm already counting alarms and looking for the weekend!

Here is another LO I wanted to share! I reverted back to my 1 page scrapping for this one, but think I might add another page .... we'll see what I have for creative time this weekend! Here it is ...

A basic 12 x 12 page with black on the bottom and the flower printed paper up top is from a DCWV Photo Stack ... I find myself using this in spurts ... all the time or none at all!

I ran the title background through the Cuttlebug after I attached the words (which I welded on my Gypsy) to emboss a decorative line along the bottom, then I used Creative Memories chalking ink around the edges in black to make it pop a little.  I also used some ribbon I had to cover where the papers joined.

These were simple paper flowers that I had picked up at the Inspiration Station in Stafford Springs CT on a trip with SueAnn a little over a month ago, as well as the leaves.  I used a dew drop in the middle.

The welded words were from the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge, cut in black and then I dotted them with a metallic gold gelly roll pen. 

So there you have it, quite simple and quick! Hope you like it!

Happy St. Patty's Day!!

Happy St. Patty's Day!!

I hope the luck of the Irish is with each and everyone one of you today! And as they say, everyone can be Irish for a day!

This has to be one of my favorite holidays of the year! So what better way to start celebrating it, then with some festive cards!

I started out by cutting 2 shamrocks from my Gypsy/Cricut and went from there.  There was no planning, but rather looking at what was in front of me and not put away ha ha and seeing what looked good!

Both cards are the basic A2 size purchased at the local JoAnn Fabrics and then layed on top from there.

I picked up this cute sentiment from the dollar bin, and the bonus? It was half off, so I had paid 50 cents when I purchased it! I used it to create a boarder around the card and trimmed out the patterned paper in the middle with stickles.

This was another dollar bin deal at 50 cents for the pack! I love these kinds of deals!



My favorite part has to be the shamrocks on these cards! They're made with a white core textured paper from The Paper Studio at Hobby Lobby! My mom picked up the pack (a 6 x 12 in stack) and on the ride home pulled out some pages for me to try! I ran the shamrock through the cuttlebug with the swiss dots folder and then used my sanding block to further expose the white core.

*Note to my crafty friends! Any time I'm out shopping with friends or my mom if we find something great, paper stacks etc we share! It's a great way to expand your supply without busting the bank! Plus sometimes you end up with stuff you wouldn't normally buy, but end up loving it!

So there they are, 2 quick cards to start you off on this fabulous day!
